The day was bright and sunny (and hot) but I was caging it up the road because I have been too lazy to work on the Connie and get her back on the road. This was to be my second Pie Run with my first being a miserable ride in the rain to Marble Falls several months ago. Today's trip was to the Farmhouse Cafe in Huntsville, a location suggested by Tourmeister himself, and it was not disappointing at all. The service was good, the food was good and reasonable, and the pie (I had chocolate mousse) was excellent.

The "Snoopster Gang" rolling in while Rebecca and Beth look on
Steve and Rita dismount while Will and Rebecca greet them. Note the Yamaha
GTS1000 on the right
Assorted bike shots. We are a group that rides anything and everything. No prejudices here. We had 24 bikes show up from as far away as Austin and Temple. A total of 29 people made it (Scott, Beth and I caged it).
Yamaha GTS1000 - the first one I'd ever seen
Here's the "show" part. A local cheerleading squad gave us an impromptu
show before we went in to eat.
I apologize for the quality of the indoor shots. My flash obviously doesn't work well at distance
It took me 30 minutes to get from Huntsville to 336S in Conroe (35 miles or so). It took me another 25 minutes to move the next 1.5 miles because some dipwad didn't understand the basics of physics and the need for increased stopping distance when pulling a boat. What a doofus.
