Students at Sunset High School in Portland, Oregon watched a documentary about child sex trafficking and wanted to do something about it. After surveying 50 of their peers, they were shocked to find that only 12 “somewhat” knew about the issue of child sex trafficking. The students then conducted research and identified possible solutions and concluded with the students presenting their action plan to state legislators, which included the creation of a shelter for victims of sex trafficking and help to get them back into society. Read about the high school project to support survivors of child sex trafficking.
